Crossing music-genres
1999 - 2022
As PC became more powerful, software evolved quickly. Honorable mentions are "Acid Music" and "Magix Music Maker", both available for the masses at a reasonable price.
While "Acid" concentrated - mostly - still on electronic and "Dance-Music" it was possible to get many samples of other genres. Most "loops" still resided in the usual flavors, but adding own sounds or even MIDI became possible.
Examples for Songs made with "Acid" are:
"Invisible" - 1999 - used some "rock"-samples and loops
"Flow" - 2000 - rather "electronic" and "dance"
"Magix Music Maker" was on my side a very long time. There were thousands of content-updates respecting all possible genres.
With this tool I loved to create "Cinematic" songs, or "Scores" which could be used as dramatic underlinement of movies. A Cinematic-Example made with Music-Maker is "Chasing Storms" - 2019.
Music Maker even got the possibility to keyframe imported sounds. This came very handy when I tried my version of a bootlegged song named "Monster" (2020).
Also a genre I like a lot - due to the massive lyrics and a great variaty is "Rap" and "HipHop". A good example for using the sample-hooks of "Music Maker" can be heard in "R.A.W" (2018).
